Women's Resource Center

A Women's Resource Center provides different services for women and their families, especially in times of crisis. Through a variety of programs they seek to empower women to heal and begin to build a better life for themselves and their families.

 

Programs: Independence Program: The goal of this program is to help women regain their independence, be self-sufficient, and improve their mental health and well-being. This program focuses on the personal, professional and economic development of women.

 

Counseling: they offer free counseling services for people over 18 years of age. These services can be individual or for the family.

WIC

WIC is a nutrition program for pregnant women, infants and children under 5 years of age, which provides nutrition education, healthy food, counseling services, breastfeeding support and referrals, at no cost. Its purpose is to improve the health of the mother and her children through nutritional support during the most important moments of growth.

Beyond Pregnancy Care

Beyond Pregnancy Care provides services for women in an unplanned pregnancy and for their partners as well, in order to support them during pregnancy, guide them and empower them towards a better future. Connect

Connect is a referral and counseling program for pregnant women, caregivers, and families with young children. Connect has different programs and resources, with which it seeks to connect its participants so that they have greater and better access to the necessary services during pregnancy and the first years of the baby's life.

 

Connect provides educational programs and workshops on childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, baby development, nutrition, family planning, child safety, parenting, and much more.

Additionally, Connect has resources for housing assistance, counseling and employment services.
